The commercial benefits of the policy include- fair compensation of the scrap vehicle, road tax rebate ranging from 10% - 25%, registration fees waiver (depending on State) and OEM scrappage bonus. In addition to the commercial benefits, the entire process is digitized ensuring transparency and it is secure since the vehicle gets deregistered at the RTO by the scrapping agency ensuring no misuse.

Once you submit your vehicle for scrappage, a certificate of deposit (COD) is generated which transfers the liability of the vehicle to the scrapping agency. It is the scrapping agencies responsibility to scrap your vehicle and get it deregistered from the RTO.
