Android Auto
This infotainment system allows easy access to calls, texts, navigation, music, and Google Search by connecting the user's Android phone to the infotainment system of the XUV500. It automatically pulls useful information from the device and organizes them into simple cards that appear just when required. Connected Apps
An industry first, the XUV500 comes pre-loaded with exciting apps such as Gaana.com, Cricket Live, Zomato, Bookmyshow, and many others. Users can access these apps on the infotainment system of the vehicle even if these apps are not installed on the mobile device of the user. All one needs to do is simply provide internet access to the infotainment system through a WiFi hotspot. -
Ecosense
Another industry first, the XUV500 also gets Ecosense Technology, which is designed to help the driver in optimizing the fuel economy of the vehicle, bringing down the wear and tear cost in the long run and in reducing the CO2 emissions. This technology records 6 critical driving parameters namely speed, gear selection, idling, acceleration, clutch override and aggressive braking. These parameters are analyzed on a real-time basis and a score, called the Ecoscore, is displayed on the infotainment system. The user gets a summary about how he/she has fared on each of the parameters, right on the infotainment screen. A detailed analysis with personalized recommendation, ranking for the month and much more is available on a backend website, The user also gets an option to share his / her Ecosense score on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp. -
Emergency Call
A first in its class, this feature provides access to emergency services in the unfortunate event of airbags getting deployed. It automatically calls the emergency helpline number 108 and sends a text alert to 2 preset numbers along with the geo location of the vehicle, through a paired mobile phone.
IIn terms of safety features, the XUV500 boasts of a monocoque design, a first for any Indian OEM, that makes the ride far more comfortable and sedan-like despite it being a full-blown SUV. In addition to this, there are dual, side and curtain airbags along with side impact beams
The XUV500 comes equipped with crumple zones, disc brakes on all 4 wheels, and with ABS & EBD. The XUV500 also comes with tubeless tires. In addition to the said features, Mahindra XUV500 colour options include Sunset Orange, Pearl White, Opulent Purple, Volcano Black, Coral Red, Dolphin Grey, and Moondust Silver. Mahindra is also offering a new Lake-Side Brown colour with black interiors on the W10 variant.
